The Annual Report Award (ARA), run by KNKG with OJK, IDX, IAI, and related ministries since 2002, assesses the quality of annual and sustainability reports. Strong reports stand out on: completeness and compliance (POJK 29/2016, SEOJK 16/2021, POJK 51/2017), governance transparency, sustainability integrated into the business model, clarity of the value-creation narrative, and data consistency.
The Annual Report Award is a national program assessing the quality of annual and sustainability reports, run by KNKG together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI), and related ministries. It aims to encourage transparency, accountability, and good governance.
Assessment goes beyond regulatory compliance to best practice: SEOJK 16/2021, POJK 51/2017, the Indonesian Corporate Governance Guidelines (PUG-KI) 2021, and the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. Judging generally consists of a desk evaluation and an interview with company leadership.
ARA increasingly emphasizes an integrated mindset, connecting strategy, governance, performance, and sustainability in one long-term value-creation narrative. Reports that are merely compliant, without a connected narrative, tend to lose to those that provide context and linkage.
